ManTech President & CEO Matthew Tait Accepts 2025 Wash100 Award

Matthew Tait, president and CEO of ManTech, has accepted the 2025 Wash100 Award from Executive Mosaic CEO Jim Garrettson.

The prestigious annual award is bestowed upon 100 of the most influential figures in government and the government contracting sector. Tait’s latest win — his third in a row—recognizes his impactful work on significant contract awards and strategic initiatives vital to the company’s growth.

“Since ascending to CEO two and a half years ago, Matt has ensured ManTech as a generator of continued meteoric success,” said Garrettson, founder of the Wash100 Award. “Over the past year, he’s led the company to huge contract wins with the DOD, Marine Corps and FBI—no small feat. But it’s not just about the deals. Matt is also making strategic moves, like launching ManTech’s first-ever defense advisory board and expanding its footprint with a new operational center in Hawaii. With a strong foundation in cybersecurity, AI and enterprise IT, Matt is equipping ManTech to fight the world’s most pressing problems, and we can’t wait to see what he does next,” Garrettson added.

Significant Contract Wins

Under Tait’s guidance, ManTech has secured significant government contracts, including a five-year, $1.4 billion task order from the Department of Defense to provide cybersecurity services to the Interagency Intelligence and Cyber Operations Network. The U.S. Marine Corps Warfighting Laboratory also awarded the company a five-year, $715 million contract for services supporting the Marine Corps Force Design. Furthermore, ManTech won a spot on the $8 billion FBI IT Supplies and Support Services 2nd Generation contract.

Strategic Initiatives for Federal Growth

The former pilot and officer, who served for 10 years in the Navy, spearheaded several key initiatives at ManTech. He established the Defense Advisory Board, composed of former DOD and retired military officials, to fuel the company’s growth in the federal market. Tait also formed the Federal Civilian Strategic Advisory Board to support federal civilian customers.

Another significant achievement under Tait’s leadership was the opening of the Kumaumau Center, an Innovation and Partnership Center in Hawaii focused on developing capabilities for the U.S. military in the Indo-Pacific region.

Congratulations to Matthew Tait and the rest of the ManTech team for another Wash100 win!
