Mark Zalubas
Mark Zalubas, formerly vice president of engineering at Merlin International, has been promoted to chief technology officer at the Vienna, Virginia-based government technology and cybersecurity services contractor.
Merlin said Tuesday he will oversee the company’s technology-based offerings and bring more than 30 years of technical experience in cloud, enterprise architecture, legacy system modernization and cyber engineering to his new position.
“Mark’s unique ability to look at customer problems through a lens filtered by innovation and new technologies, makes him an excellent choice for CTO,” said David Phelps, chairman and CEO of Merlin International.
Zalubas held a similar position during his first stint with Merlin from 2005 to 2010.
Before he rejoined Merlin, Zalubas served as VP of product management at Cybertap Security, a VP at SRA International and CTO of Avise Solutions.
He also worked as senior solutions engineer at Convergys (NYSE: CVG); director of solutions engineering at iBasis, Enterworks and PriceInteractive; sales engineer at Oracle (NYSE: ORCL) and systems engineer at Martin Marietta Data Systems and General Electric‘s (NYSE: GE)aerospace business.
