Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) has received a $148.4M order to support durability tests on F-35B jets belonging to the U.S. Marine Corps and non-Department of Defense participants in the fighter aircraft program.
The company will conduct tests needed to certify the short takeoff/vertical landing variant to reach a 30-year service life, DoD said Friday.
Under the order, Lockheed personnel will build and configure test articles, plan and conduct tests, dismantle systems and analyze results.
Work will take place in Fort Worth, Texas; Palmdale, Calif.; and Samlesbury, England. The Pentagon expects the company to fulfill the order by July 2032.
