Leonardo DRS-Rafael Team Gets $80M Contract to Supply Active Protection Systems for Army, Marines

Leonardo DRS and Rafael Advanced Defense Systems have received a $79.6M contract to supply the U.S. Army and the U.S. Marine Corps with active protection systems designed to protect combat ground vehicles from anti-armor rockets and missiles.

The industry team will provide additional TROPHY systems and the contract will bring the total funded value of the military program to $200M, Leonardo DRS said Tuesday.

Both companies developed a smaller variant of the platform and tested it on a Bradley fighting vehicle in August last year.
