Jacobs Engineering Group (NYSE: JEC) has won a potential $4.6 billion contract to deliver products and services in support of the Missile Defense Agency‘s operations, test and training activities.
The Defense Departmentsaid Wednesday Jacobs will support missions of the Missile Defense Integration and Operations Center as well as MDA’s enterprise communications and information technology environment under the follow-on contract.
The company will perform work primarily in Schriever Air Force Base, Colorado; Huntsville, Alabama; and Dahlgren and Fort Belvoir, Virginia.
MDA received two proposals for the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract via a competitive acquisition process and will obligate $4 million in fiscal 2017 research, development, test and evaluation funds to cover the first task order.
The IDIQ’s ordering period runs through Aug. 8, 2022, and may extend up to 8.5 years if the agency executes award terms and an option.
