Jacobs Engineering Group (NYSE: JEC) has received a two-year, $437.5 million contract option to continue providing support services to NASA‘s Johnson Space Center.
This award brings the total potential value of Jacob’s JSC Engineering, Technology and Science contract to $1.46 billion and extends the performance period through April 2020, the company said Wednesday.
Work covers the provision of science and engineering services, digital platforms, operations support and equipment to key NASA programs that include the International Space Station and Orion spacecraft.
Jacobs will also support multiple space science and technology development projects, as well as study astro materials from the agency’s missions to other planets, interstellar space and the moon.
