Jacobs Secures $138M NASA Kennedy Center Operations Support Extension

Jacobs Engineering Group (NYSE: JEC) will continue to support tests and operations at NASA‘s Kennedy Space Center under a one-year, $137.5M contract extension.

The company said Tuesday it will help the agency manage ground and launch systems, as well as process payloads for the Cape Canaveral, Fla.-based facility’s spacecraft integration, hardware testing and operational flight activities.

The extension brings the original contract’s total value to $818M and work runs through September 2019.

Steve Arnette, senior vice president of Jacobs’ aerospace, technology, environmental and nuclear business, said the company seeks to provide research and development, scientific and technical services to the country’s space program through the extended contract.
