Jacobs (NYSE: J) will provide laboratory support services to the Environmental Protection Agency's research and development office under a follow-on contract worth potentially $100M over five years.
The company said Wednesday it will assist EPA in public and environmental health protection initiatives such as getting rid of hazardous substances in buildings and outdoor spaces, simulating air quality and characterizing source emissions.
Contract work covers R&D, analytical, technical and logistics services.
"We look forward to continuing our support to the EPA in evaluating technologies needed to provide clean air and water, and to identify, mitigate and remediate environmental threats in the U.S. and around the world," said Steve Arnette, senior vice president of critical mission solutions at Jacobs.
The company has provided research lab support to the agency since 2015.
