Jacobs (NYSE:J) has landed a spot on a multiple-award, $2 billion contract vehicle to help the U.S. Air Force modernize or renovate facilities and general infrastructure.
The company said Thursday it plans to continue to support USAFs global architecture and engineering requirements as a participating contractor in the AE Next Program.
The Air Force Civil Engineer Center manages the shared indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract with a five-year base period and a five-year renewal option.
Projects under the IDIQ will include work on global facilities, air traffic control towers, historic airfields, bridges and roads.
Tim Byers, senior vice president and general manager of Jacobs’ federal and environmental solutions unit, said the company demonstrated “smart” technology and developed cybersecurity platforms through previous projects with AFCEC.
