A Jacobs Engineering Group (NYSE: JEC) subsidiary has received potential five-year, $427.1 million contract from the U.S. Navy to deliver test and evaluation/training threat and target systems for the service branch’s warfighter training and debriefing systems.
Jacobs Technology will also perform systems engineering work on components needed to create simulated combat environments for the Navy, the Defense Departmentsaid Thursday.
The Naval Air Warfare Center’s weapons division will obligate $66, 650 at the time of award from the service branch’s fiscal 2016 Navy operations and maintenance funds.
Work is scheduled to occur through May 2021 in China Lake, California.
NAWCWD oversees development of weapon systems for the Navy and runs multiple facilities focused on aerial threat and surface targets, airborne electronic attack, safety and insensitive munitions and unmanned systems.
