Huntington Ingalls Industries (NYSE: HII) will continue to provide support services for U.S. Navy nuclear submarines under a two-year, $105 million contract modification.
The Defense Departmentsaid Tuesday the modification covers database and configuration management, integrated logistics, engineering, technical, design, research, development, modernization and industrial services.
HII landed a $564 million contract in July 2015 to help the service branch design, engineer, configure and update Los Angeles, Seawolf, Virginia and Ohio-class submarines.
The Naval Sea Systems Command will obligate $5.7 million at the time of modification award from fiscal 2015 and fiscal 2017 “other” procurement; shipbuilding and conversion; research, development, test and evaluation funds.
Work will occur at the company’s facility Newport News, Virginia, through September 2019.
