TYSONS CORNER, VA, May 30, 2019 Tommy Gardner, chief technology officer of HP Federal, said changes to organizational culture, budgeting strategy and technology will help the federal government mitigate cybersecurity incidents similar to the Office of Personnel Management data breach in 2015, ExecutiveBiz reported May 21.
Gardner wrote in an opinion piece published May 20 that the government, which remains a “prime target” for cyber attacks, will need top-to-bottom buy-in to a cybersecurity culture, third parties providing device-as-a-service support to work around budget constraints, as well as “security-enriched” technology in order to address cyber vulnerabilities.
