Gunnison Consulting Group has acquired cybersecurity platforms provider Centerpoint for an undisclosed sum to expand information technology service offerings for the federal government.
Gunnison CEO Gil Dussek said in a statement released Thursday the transaction adds cybersecurity skills to the company’s portfolio and the combined organization aims to help customers address IT modernization challenges.
Ed Silva, co-founder and co-CEO of Centerpoint, will join Gunnison as chief strategy officer and Tony Ambegaoker, chief operating officer and chief technology officer of Centerpoint, will serve as chief information and innovation officer as a result of the acquisition.
Baly Ambegaoker, co-founder and co-CEO of Centerpoint, will sit on Gunnison’s board, where Renny DiPentima, former CEO of SRA International; and Anne Altman, former global sector head at IBM (NYSE: IBM); also serve as members.
Centerpoint has provided cyber defense, response, governance, strategy and related services to the federal sector since 2014.
Fairfax, Virginia-based Gunnison offers a range of digital transformation services, including IT service management, data analytics, cybersecurity and Agile software development, to government clients.
