The General Services Administration has started to accept bids on a potential 10-year hybrid contract for managed services to a government-wide personal identity verification system.
GSA’s Federal Acquisition Service aims to find a vendor to deliver identity and credential management services for the USAccess Program as part of Homeland Security Presidential Directive 12, the agency said in a FedBizOpps solicitation notice posted Wednesday.
Winner of the full and open competition will collaborate with GSA’s HSPD-12 Managed Service Office to help customer agencies maintain PIV cards and credentials of federal employees and contractors.
The contract also covers support for USAccess applicant sponsorship, enrollment and biometric submission processes.
A chosen vendor will help refresh the platform as well as provide and implement equipment at fixed credentialing facilities for customer agencies as part of the contract, GSA noted.
