The U.S. Air Force has awarded a General Atomics subsidiary a $349.1 million cost-plus-fixed-fee contract to provide support services for the MQ-1 Predator and MQ-9 Reaper unmanned aerial systems.
General Atomics Aeronautical Systems Inc. will deliver program, configuration and inventory control point management, as well as depot field, technical manual and software maintenance under the sole-source contract, the Defense Departmentsaid Thursday.
The company will also conduct logistics support, contractor field service representative services, flight operations assistance and depot repair in Poway, California, through Dec. 31, 2017.
The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center obligated $104.9 million from the military service’s fiscal 2017 operations and maintenance funds at the time of the award.
