MQ-9 Reaper is a remotely piloted aircraft equipped with sensors, a synthetic aperture radar, Predator Primary Satellite Link, ground control station and spare equipment. The system is primarily used as an intelligence-collection asset.

The drone can perform strike, coordination and reconnaissance against high-value and time-sensitive targets using its wide-range sensors, precision weapons and multimode communications suite. Reapers can also support combat search and rescue, target development, route clearance, irregular warfare operations and terminal air guidance missions.
