Nicolas Chaillan
Nicolas Chaillan, formerly special adviser for cybersecurity and chief architect at the Department of Homeland Security, has joined Qualys (Nasdaq: QLYS) as federal chief technology officer.
Chaillan will oversee the company™s strategy, platforms development and other government information technology programs in his new role, Qualys said Monday.
Philippe Courtot, Qualys chairman and CEO, said Chaillan™s addition to the federal division comes as the firm works to meet the federal market™s needs through its portfolio of security and compliance offerings including its Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program-certified Gov Platform.
Chaillan has nearly two decades of IT, management and entrepreneurial experience in both private and public sectors and founded a dozen companies such as WorldAKT, anyGuest.com, AFTER-MOUSE.COM and Touch Ordering.
He previously served as board chairman of software incubator Holding AKT and chief information security officer at Cyber Revolution and designed the .Gov cyber architecture during his tenure at DHS.
Chaillan has developed and sold at least 180 software platforms to 45 Fortune 500 companies and has been a contributor to the scripting language PHP since 2002.
