Leidos (NYSE: LDOS) has been awarded a five-year, $75 million contract to provide technical services for the Federal Highway Administration™s Saxton transportation operations laboratory and the office of operations research and development.
The company will perform work in McLean, Virginia under the follow-on, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract, Leidos said Monday.
Saxton carries out operations research and validates transportation technology platforms and services prior to large-scale development, testing and implementation phases, according to Leidos.
The firm-firm-price contract covers research services related to traditional transportation operational issues, technical studies, field and laboratory experiments, systems design and integration support to facilitate interaction among users, vehicles and infrastructure as well as technical services in support of transportation systems™ mapping, positioning and communication tools.
