DynCorp International has received a one-year, $217 million task order modification to continue to provide base life support and maintenance services for U.S. Army personnel in Afghanistan.
The company said Tuesday it will help the Army Sustainment Command operate and maintain facilities, sewage, water and waste, electrical power, hazardous materials and items, material handling equipment and firefighting services under the modification.
DynCorp will also support the management of morale welfare and recreation programs as well as billeting, laundry, transportation motor pool, dining and food service, airfield, container yard and movement control operations.
The order was awarded through the Army’s Logistics Civil Augmentation Program IV contract vehicle.
Rob Tillery, vice president of LOGCAP IV at DynCorp, said the award demonstrates the company’s dedication to support warfighters in Southern Afghanistan.
“It is a privilege to provide base life support services for our military and allied forces in their exceptional efforts in supporting the Resolute Support mission,” said Bob Caviness, DynCorp’s LOGCAP IV project manager in Southern Afghanistan.
