DRS Technologies has won a potential five-year, $339.3 million contract from the U.S. Army to support the military service’s Joint Effects Targeting System initiative.
The Army Contracting Command received two offers for the firm-fixed-price contract and will determine performance location with each order, the Defense Departmentsaid Thursday.
DRS is scheduled to complete work by Sept. 21, 2021.
The JETS Target Location Designation System is an Army-led joint project with the U.S. Air Force and Marine Corps and will be designed to help military users acquire, locate and engage targets with precision-guided munitions.
DRS and BAE Systems were selected as contractors under the engineering and manufacturing development phase of the JETS program and competed for the production contract through a restricted competition.
