The Defense Department has asked industry to submit proposals for a potential nine-year, $28 billion contract for research, development, test and evaluation support and R&D-related analytical services.
A FedBizOpps notice posted Tuesday says the Defense Technical Information Centers Information Analysis Center Multiple-Award Contract seeks to consolidate task orders distributed across three technical task area vehicles that include defense systems; cybersecurity and information systems; and homeland defense and security.
DTIC will award contracts under IAC-MAC through three competition pools: full-and-open competition; partial small business set-aside; and chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear defense laboratories pool.
The agency will accept past performance reports through Nov. 2 and proposals through Nov. 17.
Warren Lane, a research analyst for Deltek, said DTIC plans to make up to 29 awards under the contract vehicle by September 2018, Federal News Radio reported in August.
The cyber and information systems technical area task contract awarded in December 2015 is set to expire in November 2020, while the defense systems vehicle awarded in June 2014 is scheduled to conclude in June 2019, according to DTICs website.
The center awarded in May 2014 the homeland defense contract that is set to end in April 2019.
