The Department of Defense plans to release a draft request for proposals for a potential five-year, $1.5B contract vehicle for research and development, administrative and technical services to support DoD and “fourth estate” entities, Bloomberg Government reported Friday.
BGOV obtained a synopsis that says the Analytic and Technical Support Services II contract will include an unrestricted track and a small business set-aside pool, which will account for roughly 20 percent of all task orders.
The follow-on procurement vehicle’s maximum value for each order is $250M, according to the publication.
DoD expects to issue the draft RFP notice by May 4 and commence formal solicitations on June 8. Contract awards are currently scheduled for Aug. 31.
The report added that eight incumbent contractors for the original contract are set to conclude sevices in June and have secured obligations worth a combined $198M over the past five years.
