Leidos Wins $11.5B DISA Contract for Defense IT Network Consolidation; Roger Krone, Gerry Fasano Quoted

Leidos (NYSE: LDOS) has won a potential 10-year, $11.5 billion contract to help the Defense Information Systems Agency consolidate information technology networks of the Department of Defense’s Fourth Estate organizational entities.

Under the Defense Enclave Service contract, Leidos will move DOD agencies and field activities to a common network architecture designed to support IT user experience, security and management functions, the company said Monday.

DISA sought a single service provider network environment capable of accommodating personnel, communications systems and other program elements of 22 agencies in the Fourth Estate.

“We are honored that DISA has entrusted our team to establish the modern infrastructure foundation that will deliver critical combat support capabilities to our warfighters,” said Roger Krone, chairman and CEO of Leidos and a 2022 Wash100 Award recipient.

Gerry Fasano, president of Leidos’ defense group and a fellow 2022 Wash100 awardee, said the company will build on its expertise and advanced technology offerings to deliver enhanced user experience and mission capabilities to the program.

The DES IDIQ award has a base performance period of four years and three two-year options. The Defense Information Technology Contracting Organization received seven proposals for the program.
