The Defense Information Systems Agency has released a final solicitation for the potential 10-year, $6.52B Global Solutions Management-Operations follow-on contract for telecommunications and information technology services, Bloomberg Government reported Monday.
GSM-O II is a single-award contract that covers IT support for the Department of Defense Information Network/Defense Information Systems Network, a communications and data tech platform that stores and transmits information to warfighters, policymakers and support staff worldwide.
The recompete contract includes network operation and sustainment support; network defense; network health monitoring; service restoration; and capability updates.
A FedBizOpps notice posted Thursday says GSM-O II has 16 task areas such as maintenance and repair; cybersecurity; joint customer support; program management; data center operations; and logistics support.
DISA will accept proposals through Dec. 11 and plans to award the contract in June, according to the report.
The report said Leidos (NYSE: LDOS) is the incumbent on the initial $4.6B GSM-O program and has received approximately $1.9B in obligations through the current contract.
Leidos inherited the contract from Lockheed Martin™s (NYSE: LMT) former information systems and global services business, which merged with Leidos in August 2016.
