The Naval Information Warfare Center Pacific in San Diego received two proposals for the single-award BPA that was awarded through the Department of Defense’s Enterprise Software Initiative, which intends to streamline the process of software licensing acquisition and deliver IT products that are compliant with DOD’s technical standards, the Pentagon said Friday.
Under the DOD Enterprise Software Agreement, the vendor will provide user-based subscription licenses, software assurance and commercially available perpetual licenses including Microsoft 365, Microsoft Azure and client access licenses.
The Pentagon and the U.S. Coast Guard can also use the ESA provided that they are permitted under the provisions of 14 U.S. Code Section 3 and Section 145, 10 U.S. Code Section 2571 and 31 U.S. Code Section 1535.
The Navy will use DOD’s operations and maintenance funds to support delivery orders and expects the ordering period to run through May 31, 2026.
