Cubic Corp. (NYSE: CUB) global defense business unit has received a five-year, $73 million task order from the U.S. Navy to operate and maintain the aviation training devices and simulators at six U.S. Marine Corps locations.
Cubic will also provide simulator and classroom training for Marine Corps pilots and other aircrew under the Navy™s Fielded Training Systems Support III indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract, the company said Monday.
Dave Buss, president of Cubic’s global defense business, said the company has supported the development of aviation instructional courseware and curriculum to the U.S. Marine Corps for the past 11 years.
San Diego-based Cubic will perform work at MCAS Cherry Point, MCAS New River, MCAS Camp Pendleton, MCAS Miramar, MCAS Yuma and Marine Corps Base Hawaii Kaneohe Bay.
At MCAS Yuma, Cubic will design the instructional system, revise courseware and curriculum, perform network management and manage the training system.
The task order marks the Navy™s third consecutive award to Cubic under the Fielded Training Systems Support III vehicle since 2005.
