The General Services Administration has awarded a $102 million task order to CGI Federal (NYSE: GIB) to provide credentials and authentication management support for a Department of Homeland Security-run cybersecurity program, Federal News Radio reported Monday.
Jason Miller writes a CGI spokeswoman said the company will provide tools, sensors and services to help implement credential management functions under the second phase of DHS’ Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation program.
DHS said credential management works to help certify that users have appropriate suitability, clearance and security training to access required information, according to Miller’s report.
The report added GSA and DHS plans to award two more task orders under the second phase of the CDM program for access control management and security-related behavior management.
ManTech International (Nasdaq: MANT) received an $85.4 million task order in July to provide privilege access management services and tools for CDM’s second phase.
CDM offers commercial off-the-shelf tools for government entities to identify, prioritize and mitigate cybersecurity risks.
