A Boeing (NYSE: BA) subsidiary has won a five-year recompete contract from the U.S. Air Force to update and sustain a command-and-control technology Air Mobility Command personnel use to manage global missions.
Tapestry Solutions will help the service branch migrate the Global Decision Support System to a DevOps-based cloud environment and integrate updated software applications into the platform, Boeing said Tuesday.
GDSS is built to help military users visualize and plan missions such as strategic airlift and aerial refueling activities as well as facilitate relief assistance and troop support operations.

Tapestry, which operates under Boeing's global services segment, has provided GDSS development and maintenance services since 1992.
