Boeing (NYSE: BA) has received a $308.3 million contract modification from the U.S. Navy to support the engineering change proposal integration of jammer pods onto EA-18G Growler aircraft.
The Defense Departmentsaid Thursday the company will provide necessary equipment for system integration laboratories; design and manufacture 12 ECP 6472 A kits; and integrate, demonstrate and test Next Generation Jammer pods on EA-18G aircraft.
Work will occur in Missouri, New York, Oklahoma, California, Arizona, Florida, Maryland through December 2021.
The Naval Air Systems Command obligated $11 million at the time of the award from the service branch’s fiscal 2017 research, development, testing and evaluation funds.
Raytheon (NYSE: RTN) will also help the Navy design, build, integrate and demonstrate NGJ pods under a separate $1.01 billion contract awarded in April
