The U.S. Army has awarded BAE Systems‘ land and armaments business a $113.1 million contract modification to procure modernized units of the Bradley Fighting Vehicle.
BAE will provide M2A4 and M7A4 ground armored vehicles to the service branch, the Department of Defense said Wednesday.
The Army used its fiscal 2022 and 2023 procurement funds for weapons and tracked combat vehicles to cover the full obligated amount.
M2A4 is a medium armored platform equipped with digital tools and designed to primarily carry a 25mm automatic cannon, while M7A4 employs a sensor system intended for fire support operations.
