Norfolk Dredging has won a pair of contracts worth a combined $257.6M from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to support harbor dredging projects in Savannah, Ga., and Charleston, S.C.
The Department of Defense said Monday USACE received four bids for the first contract, valued at $133.2M, and five bids for the second contract, valued at 124.5M.
According to a FedBizOpps summary, the Savannah Harbor deepening project will involve dredging and disposal of unclassified materials in confined placement sites.
DoD expects the company to finish Savannah inner harbor dredging efforts by Sept. 6, 2021, and complete Charleston harbor dredging work by July 5, 2022.
