Andrew Ivers, president of broadband communications sector and communication systems-west division at L3 Technologies (NYSE: LLL), will assume the roles of corporate senior vice president and president of communication systems business segment at the New York-based aerospace and defense contractor starting Jan. 1.
The company said Wednesday Ivers will directly report to Christopher Kubasik, L3 president and chief operating officer, and succeed John Mega, who will transition to the role of corporate SVP for special projects.
Over his 16 years with L3, [Ivers] has implemented operational initiatives while maintaining a strong focus on the customer and program performance, Kubasik said.
Under his leadership, this segment will continue to deliver mission-critical communications capabilities to our customers around the world, he added.
Ivers has been president of several sectors and divisions at L3s communications systems segment that include space products, COMSEC and specialty RF products since 2009.
He spent six years as president of L3s Linkabit division with responsibility over tactical signal intercept manpacks and IP satellite communication modems.
Prior to L3, he worked for eight years at Harris (NYSE: HRS) and held the role of director of tactical radio engineering.
Ivers also carried out system engineering work on various communications programs during his tenure at Raytheon (NYSE: RTN).
