Amentum Mitie Pacific Wins Potential $656M Navy Base Operations Support Contract

Amentum Mitie Pacific has secured an indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract with a potential value of $656.4 million to provide base operating support services at Navy Support Facility Diego Garcia in the British Indian Ocean Territory.

The fixed-price-award-fee contract, initially valued at $85.2 million, includes a base period, seven option years and a six-month extension option, the Department of War said Tuesday. Work will continue through January 2034 if all options are exercised.

What Work Will the Amentum Navy Contract Support?

The scope of work encompasses both recurring and non-recurring services delivered through individual task orders.

The Navy will obligate $82.2 million in fiscal year 2026 funds across multiple sources, including Navy and Air Force operations and maintenance accounts, defense working capital funds and non-appropriated funds, for such services. It obligated $3 million at the time of award, expiring at the end of the current fiscal year.

Amentum Mitie Pacific beat out two other bidders to win the contract, which was competitively procured through the SAM.gov website.

How Does the Navy Contract Fit Amentum’s Broader Navy Portfolio?

The award builds on Amentum’s expanding Navy footprint, which includes recent contracts supporting sensor systems modernization, MQ-9 Reaper maintenance, electromagnetic effects testing, and aviation and logistics operations.
