Amentum has secured a $91.8 million contract from the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division, NSWCDD, to provide software engineering services to enhance the Navy’s Sensor Systems capabilities in line with the service branch’s national security objectives.
Contract Scope
The advanced engineering and innovative technology company said Tuesday it will transition the systems from a document-based workflow to a more efficient and precise model-centric methodology using its model-based systems engineering, or MBSE, and other advanced technologies. It will also leverage its agile-based software engineering technology, including sensor data collection, exploitation, fusion, modeling and concept exploration to provide services associated with software design and development, configuration and data management, and development, security and operations, or DevSecOps. The contract also covers data science, tool development, technology development and insertion, prototyping and technology demonstrations.
The contract has a five-and-a-half-year period of performance, starting on Jan. 16, 2026. The work will be performed at the NSWCDD Electromagnetic & Sensor Systems Department in Dahlgren and Fredericksburg, Virginia.
