Akima™s Sunik subsidiary has received a potential eight-year, $75M contract to provide base operations support to the U.S. Marine Corps™ installation in Quantico, Va.
Sunik will help the military service maintain, secure and repair facilities at the base, Akima said Wednesday.
Work also covers support services to the Marine Corps University, Marine Corps Network Operations and Security Command, Naval Health Clinic and National Museum of the Marine Corps.
œThe decisions made at the Marine Corps Base in Quantico impact Marines across the globe, both afloat and ashore, and in reserve duty throughout the United States, said Scott Rauer, president of the facilities solutions group at Akima.
“This award exemplifies the confidence our customers have in the Akima portfolio of companies to support our nation™s most important military facilities,” Rauer added.
Sunik secured a separate contract in July to help manage and maintain the Department of Agriculture™s Eastern Regional Research Center.
