AECOM (NYSE: ACM) has received a potential five-year, $192M task order to support the delivery of a unified tactical network for a military command that operates at the U.S. Army's Aberdeen Proving Ground facility in Maryland.
The company said Wednesday it will work with the Army Project Manager of Tactical Network programs to provide logistics support services to the Communications-Electronics Command via the task order awarded under the General Services Administration Schedule contract.
“We are proud to expand our support of critical command, control, communications, computers, cyber, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance systems for our nation’s defense,” said John Vollmer, president of AECOM's management services group and a 2019 Wash100 winner.
Vollmer added he believes the award will provide an advantage for the unit's government business activities upon its transition into an indepedendent entity.
