The U.S. Navy has awarded four companies positions on a potential eight-year, $492.4 million contract to provide increment III production units and related supplies for the service branch™s Automated Digital Network System.
ADNS is designed to provide submarines, aerial systems, shore-based platforms and surface ships access to WAN in support of the service™s internet protocol network operations.
The third increment seeks to boost ADNS network capacity through the use of higher bandwidth that new satellite communications platforms offer.
Contractors will perform work in Pennsylvania, Virginia and California, through June 2025.
