Unisys Wins Multi-Million Dollar DoD Contract

Unisys Corporation (NYSE: UIS) has been awarded an information technology contract by the Defense Information Services Agency (DISA). The contract is worth an estimated $187 million over a five year period.

Under the contract, Unisys will provide IT services to manage and upgrade the ClearPath mainframe environment. Unisys previously held a contract to provide similar services for the past five years. Unisys will provide increased mainframe capacity and support services.

Jim Geiger, managing partner, DoD, Unisys Federal Systems, said “This contract represents an extension of a longstanding relationship between Unisys, DISA and DISA clients such as the Air Force. Our relationship with the Air Force began in 1983, and this contract will continue to support the service’s logistics and other applications. Unisys will continue to support these critical applications to help our Defense Department clients achieve their missions.”
