Alcatel-Lucent will transfer its network security assets to Thales in order to grow its commercial proposition in cybersecurity, Thales said Thursday.
“This investment responds to the growing ambition of Thales in promising sectors of security, in order to offer solutions that ensure the integrity and resilience of its customersâ information systems , â said Jean-Bernard Lévy, chairman and CEO of Thales.
Thales intends for the partnership to expand its cybersecurity business while Alcatel-Lucent wants to combine its telecommunication products with services from Thales.
The partnership is pending the definitive agreement between representative bodies.
