Charlotte, N.C.-based Curtiss-Wright aims to grow its engineered coatings portfolio, including thermal spray and shot peening technologies, for aerospace and industrial applications, the company said Monday.
“We intend to leverage the synergies that exist between our coatings businesses, while also supporting surface technologies’ strategic objective to advance up the technological chain and expand the breadth of their technology and customer bases, ” said David Adams, president and CEO of Curtiss-Wright.
CCRS was founded in 1995 and produces sacrificial aluminum coatings for aerospace turbine engines and provides component repairs for industrial gas turbines from two facilities in the U.K.
