The company will work to manage the Housing and Infrastructure Board’s capital budget program and to advise the Ministry of Housing and Utilities on common standards and systems of the agency’s other projects, AECOM said Thursday.
John Dionisio, chairman and CEO of AECOM, said the project is one of several in Libya to focus on housing and critical infrastructure.
AECOM will also help train Libyan engineers, technical specialists and executives on how to plan, design, inspect, manage implement and restart construction programs.
The professional technical and management support provider worked on HIB’s housing and infrastructure program for four years until the program was suspended in 2011.
HIB aims for the program to reach over $100 billion when fully operational to help address infrastructure and housing requirements of Libya.
