DARPA intends for the device to remove dirty blood from the body, separate harmful agents and return clean blood to the body, the Defense Department said Wednesday.
The agency’s Dialysis-Like Therapeutics program aims to treat sepsis in a manner similar to dialysis treatment of kidney failure.
