The iSToRE XP contract also includes options for the company to help the agency field other types of licenses throughout its National System for Geospatial-Intelligence system through 2016, BAE said Tuesday.
Jeff Allen, general manager of BAE’s Geospatial eXploitation product line, said the company designed GXP Xplorer to cut up to 75 percent from the amount of time analysts spend locating and collecting data.
“Intelligence analysts are challenged with managing increasing amounts and types of data to perform their mission, ” Allen said.
GXP Xplorer is designed to search through data and catalog images, terrain, features, videos and documents on local networks or across an enterprise, BAE says.
The company says the software also is built for different types of hardware such as mobile devices, ruggedized laptops, enterprise servers and virtualized cloud environments.
