CSC, SAIC Win Navy Net, Info Systems Engineering IDIQ Options

Computer Sciences Corp. (NYSE: CSC) and Science Applications International Corp. (NYSE: SAI) have won modifications on a U.S. Navy contract for engineering services on networks and information systems.

The Defense Department said both companies will compete for task orders during the ordering period.

Award details include:

  • CSC won $9, 276, 960, will compete for $35, 659, 074
  • SAIC won $9, 276, 960, will compete for $36, 014, 840

Both companies also hold positions on a potential $780 million contract to develop and help implement training data products (click here to see a list of awardees).

Eighty-five percent of work will occur in San Diego and the rest in McLean, Va. through Dec. 1, 2014.

The Navy is obligating no funds at the time of award and no funds will expire at the end of the current fiscal year.

The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Pacific in San Diego is the contracting activity.
