SAIC Closes Acquisition of Information Security Corp.

  • SAIC has added ISC to its cybersecurity portfolio
  • ISC develops encryption and credential management products
  • The deal bolsters SAIC’s zero trust and PQC offerings

SAIC has finalized its acquisition of Information Security Corp., a cryptographic software developer serving government and commercial organizations, for an undisclosed sum.

Reston, Virginia-based SAC said Monday it was supported by KPMG, while TideLock Partners advised ISC on the deal.

The ISC transaction follows SAIC’s completion of its $205 million acquisition of SilverEdge Government Solutions from private equity firm Godspeed Capital in October 2025.

What Is ISC?

ISC is a provider of public key infrastructure, encryption and credential management software for organizations with stringent security requirements, with a track record of over 30 years. Its products are designed to help users update their cryptographic systems and prepare for the shift to post-quantum cryptography, with an emphasis on automation and crypto-agility.

The company’s technology supports identity verification, authentication and data protection across the U.S. intelligence community and the Department of War. Its portfolio includes CertAgent, which has been listed on the National Security Agency’s Commercial Solutions for Classified Components List for over a decade.

What Did SAIC & ISC Leaders Say About the Transaction?

SAIC CEO Jim Reagan said the deal brings ISC’s cryptographic technologies together with SAIC’s zero-trust architecture work to strengthen protections for intelligence and defense customers.

“This strategic tuck-in acquisition reflects our disciplined approach to investing in technology and capabilities that address the nation’s most critical challenges,” said Reagan, a five-time Wash100 awardee who took the helm of SAIC in February.

Jonathan Schulze-Hewett, vice president of development at ISC, said the move will allow the company to extend its technology to a wider customer base and additional missions.

“For more than three decades, our team has built innovative products to solve some of our customers’ most difficult security challenges,” Schulze-Hewett said.
