SAIC’s board of directors has appointed James “Jim” Reagan, the company’s interim CEO since October and a previous Wash100 awardee, as chief executive officer.

What Did SAIC Board Chair Donna Morea Say About Reagan’s Appointment?
In a statement published Tuesday, Donna Morea, chair of SAIC’s board of directors, said the board’s selection of Reagan was unanimous following what she described as a thorough search process.
“Over the past few months, Jim has proven to be the steady hand at the tiller SAIC needs. He understands the Company’s strengths and opportunities and has been working with SAIC business leaders to drive the innovation, speed, and efficiency that will enable future growth and value creation for our customers, shareholders, and employees. We look forward to continuing to work with Jim in his new capacity,” Morea added.
Who Is Jim Reagan?
Reagan has been a member of SAIC’s board since January 2023. The seasoned executive brings to the role nearly 20 years of senior leadership experience in the government services and defense sector, as well as expertise in cybersecurity, IT, intelligence, healthcare and national security.
He most recently served as executive vice president and chief financial officer at Leidos.
Before Leidos, Reagan served as CFO at several companies, including Vencore, PAE and Aspect Communications. He also held senior roles at MCI Telecommunications, Nextel and AMS.
Reagan said he is honored by the board’s decision and looks forward to continuing efforts to sharpen the company’s focus, strengthen execution and improve speed to market.
“SAIC has a very strong future ahead and I am confident the efforts underway to further differentiate SAIC will generate more sustained, profitable growth in the coming years.
