Noblis has acquired FTS International as part of a push to expand its defense, intelligence and space capabilities in support of the U.S. government’s critical missions.

As national security missions increasingly call for the kind of integrated space, intelligence and engineering capabilities that the latest transaction brings together, government and industry leaders will gather at the Potomac Officers Club’s 2026 Navy Summit on Aug. 27 to discuss digital engineering, autonomous systems, network modernization, shipbuilding and other priorities shaping the future maritime force. Noblis MSD President Glen Hickok will be part of a panel discussion on the future of Navy-industry partnership in unmanned underwater and surface vehicles. Sign up now!
What Capabilities Will the Combination Bring?
Noblis said Monday the transaction pairs its background in scientific research and mission engineering with FTS International’s focus on intelligence analysis, systems integration and operational support for space and national security programs.
Established in 2005, FTS International provides intelligence analysis, systems integration, mission engineering and operational support services for the U.S. government’s defense, intelligence and space missions. FTS contributes more than 20 years of experience in intelligence and national security efforts, along with specialized knowledge in overhead reconnaissance systems and space engineering.
The combined organization intends to move new capabilities from research into operational use more quickly, reduce risk during implementation and apply emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, across defense, intelligence and space missions.
KippsDeSanto & Co. served as FTS International’s exclusive financial adviser in the transaction.
What Did Noblis & FTS International Officials Say About the Transaction?
“The combination of Noblis and FTS International strengthens our ability to deliver integrated solutions that unite science, engineering, operations, and emerging technologies to address the federal government’s most complex space and national security challenges,” said Mile Corrigan, president and CEO of Noblis.
Corrigan, a four-time Wash100 awardee, added that FTS International’s mission expertise, highly cleared workforce and culture of technical excellence complement Noblis’ longstanding strengths in scientific research, mission engineering and innovation, and that the combined capabilities are increasingly required to advance the nation’s most critical missions.
John Fitzgerald, founder and president of FTS International, said the company has built its reputation on supporting critical national security missions through its people, partnerships and technical performance, and that Noblis is positioned to carry that legacy forward.
“Most importantly, we found a partner that respects what our employees have built, shares our commitment to our customers, and will invest in the people and capabilities that define FTS International,” Fitzgerald said.
What Other Recent Contracts & Initiatives Has Noblis Announced?
The FTS International acquisition follows a series of recent contract wins and initiatives across Noblis’ portfolio. In June, Noblis MSD received a five-year, $309 million indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract from Naval Information Warfare Center Pacific to provide engineering services for the Network Integration Engineering Facility. The subsidiary also secured two contracts totaling $151 million from the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Philadelphia Division, to support maintenance, development and modernization of machinery control systems for Navy surface combatants.
Beyond its defense engineering work, Noblis has also expanded into space-based research. The company sent two research projects, the Helix Horizons Astral DNA Storage Endeavor and the Synthetic consortia Integrated Production System to the International Space Station aboard a SpaceX Dragon spacecraft, in a mission supported by the ISS National Laboratory and Voyager Technologies to advance data storage and sustainable nutrition for space missions.
