KBR has outlined technology capabilities within its Mission Technology Solutions business to support Golden Dome for America, the country’s next-generation missile defense initiative, and named Daniel Dant and Jay Lennon to lead its Golden Dome strategy and related efforts.

The company said Tuesday it will draw on experience in joint integrated air and missile defense, counter-unmanned aircraft systems, space domain awareness and directed energy to support the initiative.
What Capabilities Does KBR Bring to Golden Dome?
KBR holds a position on the Missile Defense Agency’s $151 billion Scalable Homeland Innovative Enterprise Layered Defense, a multiple-award, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract. The company also cited a set of ongoing contracts and initiatives it said validate Golden Dome priorities.
Digital Engineering and Decision Support
- KBR will lead a five-year, $95 million contract awarded in 2026 to transition next-generation space mission capabilities for the U.S. Space Force from concept to deployment.
- The company supports digital engineering and assured communications under a three-year, $77 million firm-fixed-price task order awarded in 2026 for Space Force headquarters analysis.
- KBR is building a testing and training environment for the Space Force under a three-year, $98.7 million task order awarded in 2025.
Space Domain Awareness, PATRIOT and C-UAS
- KBR operates and maintains experimental equipment and supports mission system modernization at the Air Force Maui Optical and Supercomputing Site under a seven-year, $176 million contract the Air Force Research Laboratory awarded in 2025.
- The company has provided engineering support for the PATRIOT air and missile defense system for more than four decades, including a five-year, $207 million task order awarded in 2022.
- KBR supports C-UAS detection, identification and mitigation capabilities for the Navy under a $52.6 million contract awarded in 2026.
Who Is Daniel Dant?
Dant is a U.S. Air Force veteran who spent 26 years supporting the national security space enterprise before joining KBR. He has been promoted to vice president of strategic initiatives at KBR to lead the company’s pursuit of Golden Dome opportunities.
His military background includes command of the 460th Space Wing at Buckley Air Force Base and service as aide-de-camp to the commander of Air Force Space Command. He later served as space policy director for the Office of the Secretary of Defense, where he helped shape a new approach to countering threats against U.S. space assets.
Who Is Jay Lennon?
Lennon is a U.S. Air Force veteran with 25 years of service who now leads KBR’s Mission Technology Solutions Defense and Intel division as president. In his current role, he oversees the company’s national security and defense technology portfolios and will help guide KBR’s Golden Dome strategy alongside Dant.
Lennon said KBR is prepared to serve as a major Golden Dome partner. “I am thrilled to help lead our contributions to the Golden Dome program, the most complex technological architecture ever to be developed and fielded,” he noted.

The latest development came a month after KBR appointed Michael LaRouche, a three-time Wash100 awardee and current CEO of Serco North America, as president and CEO-designate, and Nicholas Veasey as executive VP and chief financial officer-designate of the planned spinoff of its Mission Technology Solutions business. The MTS spinoff is expected to launch in January 2027 as an independent national security and space technology company.
