- Former Nightwing CEO John DeSimone has joined Everfox as chief operating officer
- DeSimone’s 30-year experience includes leadership roles in Raytheon and IBM Global Services
- His appointment comes less than a month after Toby O’Brien was chosen as Everfox’s chief financial officer
Everfox announced Monday that it has designated its chief operating officer role to John DeSimone, former chief executive officer and adviser of Nightwing.
In his new role, DeSimone will oversee Everfox’s global technology functions, spanning product, engineering and information technology. He is expected to grow Everfox’s information platform and cybersecurity offerings.

What Is DeSimone’s Professional Experience?
DeSimone brings more than three decades of executive experience across the defense, intelligence, cybersecurity and technology sectors. As CEO of Nightwing, he guided the company through its divestiture from RTX. Prior to that, he served as president of Raytheon’s Cybersecurity, Intelligence and Services business.
Earlier in his career, DeSimone held senior leadership roles at CSRA and CSC, companies that were acquired by General Dynamics Information Technology. At IBM Global Services, he was vice president of public sector and oversaw its federal data center and other product divisions, including cloud offerings, cybersecurity and privacy, customer relationship management, and application development and maintenance service.
From 2007 to 2010, DeSimone worked at Northrop Grumman as vice president of enterprise operations, the division responsible for the company’s Managed Services and Discrete Services portfolios used in IT Services transition and transformation. He also spent seven years at Motorola as vice president of integrated systems. His earliest leadership role was at ODIN Engineering, where he served as president from 1991 to 1996.
What Other Recent Executive Changes Has Everfox Made?
Everfox said DeSimone’s appointment reflects the company’s ongoing investment in aligning strategy, product innovation, engineering and customer success under a unified leadership model. It named Wajsgras as its CEO and chairman in January, and on July 7, it selected former Intelsat Chief Financial Officer Toby O’Brien as its CFO. Everfox appointed its inaugural executive advisory board in October 2024, following its rebrand from Forcepoint Federal.
