- War Data Platform enables standardized data for agentic AI applications
- Advana modernization includes financial management and application migration
- Explore AI, defense tech capabilities and more at the Potomac Officers Club’s DOW summits
Accenture Federal Services has won a potential five-year, $821 million task order to provide core integration support for the Department of War Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Office’s War Data Platform, or WDP, DefenseScoop reported Thursday.

The Potomac Officers Club will host two DOW summits this summer. Register now for the 2026 Air and Space Summit on July 30 to join government and industry leaders as they examine AI and machine learning applications, commercial space relay advancements and optical network development. You can also save your seat for the 2026 Navy Summit on Aug. 27 to hear discussions on autonomy, digital engineering and network modernization efforts.
DefenseScoop reported that Accenture won the award after competing against four other vendors, citing government open-source information, online market intelligence trackers and sources familiar with the procurement. The task order was awarded through the General Services Administration’s Alliant 2 contract vehicle.
What Is the War Data Platform?
WDP is designed to expand Advana’s core data integration layer by providing standardized data access to support secure, rapid development and integration of agentic AI and other applications across DOW.
According to information shared by the CDAO on LinkedIn, the platform is intended to deliver standardized, high-quality data needed to accelerate departmentwide AI adoption. The office described data as “the ammunition of the future” and said WDP is designed to support implementation of the department’s AI strategy by enabling AI exploitation and mission advantage.
Why Is DOW Transforming Advana?
In January, Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, a 2026 Wash100 awardee, issued a memorandum directing CDAO to establish the War Data Platform and two other program components to transform Advana into a platform to harness the department’s extensive data assets and support warfighting, intelligence and enterprise missions. The Advana transformation effort seeks to accelerate AI adoption and improve auditability.
In addition to WDP, the two other components outlined in the memo as part of the Advana restructuring effort are:
- Advana for Financial Management supports the under secretary of war (comptroller)’s audit remediation efforts, leveraging WDP to help achieve a clean audit opinion on the fiscal year 2027 Defense Working Capital Fund financial statements and FY 2028 agencywide financial statements.
- WDP Application Services supports migration of non-audit Advana applications to the WDP architecture while enabling DOW organizations to integrate new agentic AI and other applications.
